EarthStone has created an optimum methodology for hot stone massage that is unsurpassed in the world of stone therapy. The standards for our Stones and the sets that we provide have come from years of working with and teaching EarthStone Hot Stone Massage to hundreds of therapists.
EarthStone Hot Stone Massage
EarthStone Hot Stone Massage is an integrative stone therapy that honors body, mind and spirit while allowing individual therapists to bring their own skills, traditions or spirituality to their work. It is a blending of the best techniques from ancient stone healing traditions, current scientific knowledge and innovative connective bodywork, offering a new, more comprehensive, effective methodology for the practice of stone massage.
In EarthStone Hot Stone Massage we are concerned with the technical, physiological aspects of how heated stone therapy works in concert with the body's mechanism as it stimulates circulation, lymph flow and metabolism, and softens and relaxes tight musculature. Through creating balance and well-being on the physical level, energetic blocks are often released, enabling energy to flow freely throughout the body, benefiting body, mind and spirit.
EarthStone's Founder
Yvette Hayden, BS, LMT, is a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist and has been a certified Aromatherapist for 14 years. She designs treatments and products for high-end spas, and for years has been sharing her knowledge and skills through programs for massage therapists, nurses and women's groups.
Yvette studied several different disciplines of hot stone therapy, with Native American, Asian and European roots, and varying methods and procedures. She brought this knowledge into her own stone work, expanding it to include current scientific knowledge, innovative connective bodywork techniques, and her experience with her own clients. In time, she synthesized the best of techniques to create a new, more comprehensive, effective methodology for the practice of stone massage. That methodology became EarthStone's Hot Stone Massage and is taught in The Hot Stone Massage Workshop. Through this Workshop, offered in massage schools, spas and private venues, hundreds of therapists have been trained in EarthStone Hot Stone Massage over the past seven years.

Yvette also developed The Spa Treatment Workshop to fill a need for massage therapists who were looking to add other specialty treatments to their practice. She has been presenting and perfecting this workshop for the past five years.

EarthStone Stones
EarthStone started creating stone sets to offer to workshop students. It became clear that it was difficult and confusing to know what to buy and who to buy from, it was sort of hit or miss. Out of concern for students and the quality of their work, EarthStone found sources for quality basalt stones and began to create sets optimum for performing the ultimate EarthStone Hot Stone Massage.
EarthStone Massage Oils & Lotions
All of EarthStone's Massage Oils and Lotions have been specially formulated to enhance the EarthStone Hot Stone Massage. In a base of fresh-pressed Grapeseed Oil, quality essential oils are blended into five heavenly scents: Citrus, Cedar, Lemongrass-Ginger, French Lavender and Fresh Herbal. For those who prefer a lotion, the same scents are available in a rich, all-natural lotion.
